Adding Pages to PartyHandbook

What are PartyHandbook Ratings?

PartyHandbook has a system of rating pages added by users that is designed to reward pages that contribute to the quality of the site.

What are the benefits of having a high rating?

A high rating will ensure you have the best possible exposure for your page. The top rated pages appear on the main search page for each section (Event, DJs, MCs, Groups, Promoters, Venues ). In addition, the top rated pages for each style will be listed on the specific style page (e.g. R&B Music)

How are the ratings calculated?

Our ratings are calculated using a combination of factors that are designed to reward PartyHandbook members who contribute to the PartyHandbook community.

These are some examples how we calculate our ratings:

  • Informative, complete pages get more points than empty pages
  • Points are given for the number of events an artist or group is booked for
  • A weighting is applied that rewards pages that are modified often. This is to encourage you to keep your information current
  • Pages that are linked to from external web sites will be given higher ratings. So, if you have your own website, use it to link to your PartyHandbook page!

What do I do if I think a page is using unfair tactics to gain points?

Although the page rating is calculated automatically we do have checks in place to prevent abuse. If a page is discovered to be playing the system in an attempt to gain an unfairly high rating it will be deleted

If you believe a page is unfairly abusing the rating system please Contact Us and we will investigate
